Amazing Altered Art with Kerstin

Welcome friends!

My next project with our awesome Scraps of Darkness May Kit 'Attic Finds'.

I was inspired to make a new (old) shadow box.
Unfortunately I haven't such box in my stuff, but I saw this great background paper 'Upper & Lover' from 7 gypsies in our May Kit 'Attic Finds' and thought it looks like amazing and I will try this.

I took an old canvas and use the backside as wooden frame.
With some acrylic paints (gold, black and brown) and a crackle paste, which I used only on some places I created a frame in altered art.

the new stickers from the Architextures collection are very cool, it's very easy to work with it, you can cut, you can colored and they are self - adhesive. I added three books and the iron gates and not to forget this amazing lamp, she was glued with two chipboards and it's hanging from the frame for a 3D effect

brushes are a chipboard from my stuff, I colored with some acrylic paints and used a copper embossing powder

yes and such a cool door handle was the perfect addition for my art room frame

I cut out some words from the paper Architextures 'Market signs'
the 'Idea' piece were distressed and wrinkled, it adds more dimension on this altered frame

to complete the look I also added some alphabet tiles from our last month kit and the wonderful new paper dolls from Tim Holtz
which were a birthday gift from a very good friend

My third inspiration for our
As I saw this beautiful woman on the 'Old Window' paper from the 7gypsies Architexture collection,
I was inspired to use this photo for a new home decor piece.
Somehow I saw in the woman a mermaid and so I used an old wooden frame as basic for a FantaSEA :-)
gift.

First I added some structure paste at  few places, then
I covered the entire surface with a chalky finish paint 'Vintage'
from Americana Decor.

Let dry it completely.
I have added a lighthouse and rope stamp to complete a maritime look. Then I cut out the wordlet - Enjoy today - from the Architexture paper 'Market signs' and glued it on the frame.

Next I layered up embellishments, have you seen this amazing keys in our kit, wonderful, or?
a leftover from a deco fish net, starfish, shell, gauze
and the Prima flower from our Main Kit together with a little bit
Ice Resin  'Ocean' from our last month kit.

in the upper corner you can see a mermaid die from my stuff
head can be seen at the top and the fish tail at the bottom

I've glued a few self-collected shells to the photo
so she looks like a real mermaid.  I hope you like my inspiration!
Many thanks and have a wonderful day!
