Two Beautiful layouts from Nicole

Hello!  It's Nicole with you today to share two more projects
using the bloomingly beautiful Scraps of Elegance April kit, 'A Song of Spring', along with the Elements and Floral add-ons.

Speaking of Spring, today's share pays homage to this fabulous season.

I think pretty much every normal person loves Spring
just simply for the fact that it is so refreshing and rejuvenating to see the trees starting to leaf and flowers to bloom FINALLY
after an always too long Winter, especially here in Canada.
I don't have much of a green thumb so obviously I don't garden much, but when we bought our house 5 years ago, we were blessed
to also get a very nice flower bed in front of it full of perennials including gorgeous tulips that bloom every Spring without me having to lift a finger.

The picture used on my page is not of my tulips however as they are not quite fully bloomed yet (I told you... long Canadian Winter!).
It is a Desktop Wallpaper image that I found online right HERE

I had a lot of fun with the 49 and Market 'Wings & Things' layered embellishment set included in the Elements Add-On.  The beautiful floral wreath, branches and little hummingbirds were the perfect decorations for my page combined with a pretty pink flower flair from ScrapBerry's.

You can see here glimpses of some gorgeous 49 and Market patterned paper. I added a few Sweet Lilac Crystal Drops from the main kit for some added color and texture

All together, it makes for a very flowery layout!

I am hoping to inspire that creativity today by sharing with you
my next layout featuring the Scraps of Elegance 'A Song of Spring' April kit.

I was inspired by the May challenge from Scrap the Girls which is dedicated to mothers.

I decided to scrap a lovely photo of my mother and her granddaughters. Not having had any kids myself, I am so happy that my mother has been blessed with 2 amazing granddaughters and is able to enjoy being a grandmother via my brother and his wife's little family.  It warms my heart to see them having fun together!
As you probably know by now, the Scraps of Elegance April kit
features stunning papers from both Blue Fern Studios and 49 and Market.  The background of this layout is from the gorgeous 49 and Market 'Scents of Nature' collection.  Look at that gorgeous artwork!

And of course, I added lots of pretty 49 and Market flowers to my page including some pretty pieces from the 'Wings & Things' layered embellishment set. To make them match my colour palette, I covered the blue flowers with pink Copic markers to made them purple.  Others beautiful flowers are from Prima.

Here's another detailed look at the stunning design on this paper.
You can also see that I slipped behind my photo a few of the Ephemera Die Cuts from Ultimate Crafts that is found in the Elements Add-On.

A close-up of my nieces with their Mémère... what a delightful trio!

I hope you've enjoyed looking at these layouts!

Kerstin's Amazing layouts with Kaisercraft Indigo Skies from our Blue Skies and Sunshine Kit

Welcome!
I was inspired  from this cool -Jeans- look on the Kaisercraft 'Indigo Skies' collection.  I love denim in all variants as clothes or for home decoration pieces, you know, you can used it also for amazing upcycle projects.

But now to my children layout in a romantic and playful style.
 :-) Smile - It Suits You :-)

As I saw the background paper 'Washed out' from this Kaisercraft collection I thought, the time is right to try a new design.
I followed the triangle lines and cut some stripes
for the upper part a wide and at the bottom of layout
two thinner stripeswhich I glued over each other.

the wooden alphabet tile are very practical I chose the word 'Joy'
they are also paintable, for instance witha Distress Crayon

together with some lace leftovers, the white Prima flowers from the Main Kitand highlighted with the 'Ocean' Ice Resin Glitter Glass Shards.  Have you seen this wonderful butterflies in the Kaisercraft Collectables found in the Element add on ?
They are perfect for a 3D effect, fold them and glue it only in the middle.

here is my next project for our

I was so in love with the Indigo Storm paper from Kaisercraft found in the  the Main Kit that I had to use it again.

I created a mixed media collage with dies, chipboards, nature deco elements and a lot of beautiful memories.

The wood background paper are really wonderful especially for sea layouts, it reminded me of boardwalks and the other blue paper from this collection is my favourite,
it's so perfect for create such amazing stormy waves.
I tore it in two strips and glued on top of each other,
together with a crackle stamp (Kaisercraft) and a white permanent stamp ink, the tattered edges were also inked with distress vintage paint .

some stamps in background, here a wonderful seahorse, because I'm a big fan from such fascinating sea animals and suitable a coral stamp (from Scrap FX) I highlighted the wooden steering wheel with some blue Ice Resin sparkles glued with clear gesso.
Some word stickers from this paper collection made the little corner perfect for me.

some chipboards from my stuff, a lighthouse created with turquoise embossing powder and white acrylic paint diluted with water

two stripes from the Indigo Skies Sticker sheet together
with two chipboards here with turquoise and green pearl embossing powder and some white splashes about that

I love such rounded frames here from Blue Fern Studios,
they are always suitable for a special view they put your photo in scene.  I'm also a big fan from dies, I love the idea to made some cut outs from photos, photos doesn't  always have to be rectangular, or?!

little mermaids were also dies from my stuff, I stamped some white crackles on it

and some nature deco elements, little shells and snail houses, reindeer moss, driftwood pieces, and leftovers from an old fishing net

I want to inspire you to try it out and create your own layout,
maybe as memory on a wonderful day by the sea?!
 Thanks for your visit!
Happy crafting!

Tutorial: Shabby Chic Mixed Media Layout

Hello Friends-

Today I am sharing a layout created with the April Scraps of Elegance Kit " A Song of Spring "
I've also created a step by step tutorial for you to enjoy!

Check out How to Tutorial Layout-Scraps of Elegance April Kit by Lisa Novogrodski on Snapguide.

In case you haven't seen the kit here is a peek- You can find out kits here

I used a combination of both the Blue Fern Studios and 49th and Market papers in the kit.
I have to say the 49 and Market flowers included in the kit are the MOST beautiful flowers ever!
You can find a full supply list in the tutorial.

You can see a close up here of the florals I embossed and the stamping in the background.
You can find the floral add on here. I used a combination of the stamp included in the months Scraps of Elegance Creativity Add On and the Scraps of Darkness kit for April.

Some fun ephemera was included in the kit and I used a piece of chipboard I had on hand to paint with the Artisan powder. I used the ink and Memory Hardware Artisan Powder found in the Color Add On

Some close ups of the florals.

I used my favorite Stampendous embossing powders on the chipboard.
